Our group discussed how teachers should teach both instrumentally and relationally back and forth. Other groups also had a similar point. Other groups talked about how they could make relational teaching more interesting and engaging for the students. Using a hands-on and play approach or providing questions that allow problem-solving and critical thinking are good strategies to grab their attention. Further, all groups agreed that relational teaching is more complex for students. Hence, teachers must use nontraditional ways of teaching relational mathematics to help students be engaged.
